Dog Fighting In Other Countries Japan

According to historic documents, Hōjō Takatoki a shotguns regent was known to enjoy and even said to be obsessed with dog fighting. He became so obsessed with it he made a new tax to help buy dogs at one time.

Many cities in Japan even encourage dog fighting to this day. But these fights are a little bit different from other dog fights. Dogs fight in a fenced ring until one of the dogs barks, yelps, or loses the will to fight. Owners are allowed to throw in the towel, and matches are stopped if a doctor judges it is too dangerous.

Dog fighting is not banned in all of Japan but cities like Tokyo,Kanagawa and Fukui ban it.
