Most of you can relate to this blog because over half of Canadians have house hold pets, and of those half more then 30 % have dogs. If you can relate to this I want  you to picture you're dog. The cute sweet funny dog. Now look at this picture below and imagine your dog like that.

This dog ended up looking like this due to illegal dog fighting. Illegal dog fighting is a gambling game in which people bet on which dog will survive fighting another dog, sometimes to the death.Dog fighting is used for entertainment for sick twisted people.


Now what was the point of that? The point was that over 2000 dogs are put through this kind of injustice. In my opinion dog fighting is one of the most serious forms of animal abuse ever. Most dogs will suffer their entire life from wounds, no love,little food, and constant violence. And if a dog survives a dog fight but still lost, the dog will often be killed by being drowned being strangled,hanged,shoot gun or electrocution. I'm sure that everyone who is reading this has looked at a dog and said "aww it's so cute!"So if we love our pets and animals so much then how come we let these things happen to other dogs. Is it because fighting dogs are only certain breeds that are know to be "violent." There are certain breeds chosen for dog fighting most of the dogs are pit bulls,German shepherds,and Rottweiler's. But its not the dog if the dog is raised in a friendly enviroment are caring place then these animals can be the most loyal and fun pet you could ever have.
